This page carries the cost figures for Northmoor. They are published here and not repeated on program pages, so that there is a single number to maintain rather than several that drift apart.

**Figures below are for the 2026–27 academic year.**

## Undergraduate

Field course costs are included in tuition. Personal field equipment — boots, foul weather gear — is not, and runs to roughly $300 in the first year. The field station charges no additional fee for course residency.

Doctoral students admitted with funding receive a tuition waiver and a stipend; the terms are set at admission and vary by supervisor and funding source. The graduate certificate in Coastal Resilience is charged per course.

## Financial aid

Most undergraduates receive some aid. The main sources are:

**Need-based institutional grant.** Assessed from your financial aid application. This is the largest single source of aid at Northmoor and does not require a separate application beyond the standard forms.

**Merit scholarships.** Awarded at admission on academic record. No separate application.

**The coastal communities scholarship.** For students from working coastal and fishing communities in the region, awarded on need and connection. Renewable across four years and includes a summer placement. First awards are being made for fall 2026 entry.

**Federal and state aid.** Standard programs, applied for through the usual channels.

**Employment.** On-campus work including field station and vessel support roles. Graduate students are commonly funded as teaching assistants.

## Deadlines

The aid timeline runs **ahead of** the admission timeline. File your financial aid application by 1 February for fall entry, whether or not you have heard about admission.

Late applications are considered while funds remain, which in practice means the earlier the better.

## Asking questions

The financial aid team answers questions through the admissions office. They will discuss your individual circumstances and produce an estimate before you commit.
